I had to undergo New Recruit Training (NRT) once I got back to my office. And once I completed NRT and actually received my certification I was able to start seeing a caseload. I saw cases in the office, at home, and at any employments. I conducted drug tests. I typed reports and submitted them to the courts. And I waited a whole year (known as “probationary period”) until I could interview for the Probation Senior Officer position. Honestly, some of the older folks in the area consider Perdido Key, and therefore Johnson’s Beach, to be one of Florida’s best kept secrets (I disagree. However, I will admit that Johnson’s Beach is way less popular than Pensacola Beach). This is where I typically take all of my friends and family when they come to visit from out of state. There aren’t really any activities around Johnson’s Beach because it is part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore. Among these beautiful coastal gems, Pensacola Beach (pictured to the left if you’re on desktop and above on mobile) stands out as the most renowned destination for both locals and visitors, offering stunning views and a wide range of activities to enjoy by the sparkling Gulf waters. Activities include Bands on the Beach, jetskiing swimming, parades, and shopping. If you haven’t ever been jetskiing, it’s an activity that I highly recommend. There are also numerous restaurants, such as Flounders, Crabs, and The Grand Marlin (personally, Crabs is my favorite).
